The manga "Bartender" will return for a miniseries

This year's 10th issue of Shueisha's Grand Jump magazine has revealed that the manga "Bartender" by writer Araki Joh and illustrator Kenji Nagatomo will return for a manga miniseries that will be serialized in five issues, starting with the next issue of the magazine on May 1. The manga will have a full-color opening page.

"Bartender" focuses on Ryū Sasakura, a genius bartender who uses his talents to ease the worries and soothe the souls of troubled customers.

Shueisha began serializing the original manga in its Super Jump magazine in 2004, and the manga later moved to Grand Jump. The 21st and final compiled volume was released in February 2012. The manga inspired an anime that premiered in Japan in 2006.

The manga is inspiring a new television anime entitled "Bartender Glass of God" which premiered on April 3rd and is currently airing. The manga inspired a live-action television adaptation that premiered in Japan in January 2011.
