O Ignatz Awards 2024 anuncia indicados

O Ignatz Awards reconhece as realizações notáveis de quadrinhos independentes, graphic novels e caricaturas políticas alternativas e normalmente são entregues durante a Small Press Expo todo outono.

Batizado com o nome do rato que aparece nos quadrinhos Krazy Kat, de George Herriman, o logotipo muda a cada ano quando um novo artista desenha o rato e sua arma preferida, o tijolo. O logotipo deste ano foi desenhado pela vencedora do Ignatz Promising New Talent de 2023, Deb JJ Lee.

Os indicados deste ano foram escolhidos por um painel de profissionais de quadrinhos que incluiu Caroline Cash, Martha Kuhlman, Dawn Bond, Lawrence Lindell, Kriota Wilberg e Emma Jensen. E aqui estão suas escolhas:

Na categoria “Antalogia Expecional”, temos a HQ "Atirei o Pau no Gato e Outras Histórias de Terror", de Lucio Luiz, Ana Pepper, Caio Oliveira, Caio Zero, Carlos Gritti, Chairim, Flavio Soares, Isaque Sagara, Laudo Ferreira, Little Goat, Luiza Lemos, Mario Cau, Rodrigo Mazer, Samuel Bono, Thiago Krening e Wagner Willian. Já na categoria “Novos Talentos Promissores”, o artista brasileiro concorrente é Hugo Canuto, com a HQ "Contos dos Orixás".

Os vencedores serão decididos por votação online, como fizeram nos últimos anos. Qualquer pessoa pode solicitar uma cédula. Não haverá votação presencial no show, já que a votação para o Ignatz Awards "está aberta a todos os fãs de quadrinhos independentes", de acordo com a SPX.

Os vencedores serão anunciados durante o fim de semana do SPX, de 14 a 15 de setembro.
